Zoombak's Safety Text Blocker eliminates mobile phone distractions so the driver can focus on the road. Safety Text Blocker is comprised of two main components: the Mobile Phone Application and the Activator. Safety Text Blocker is installed in seconds by simply plugging the Activator into the OBD II connector, no tools are needed. Once the Activator is installed, download the software to the phone of the driver or passenger, and Safety Text Blocker is ready to go.The Activator identifies when the vehicle is running and sends a signal to the Safety Text Blocker-enabled phone/s. By default, Safety Text Blocker places the phone in Safe Driving Mode and prevents talking or texting while the vehicle's ignition is turned on. With the exception of placing an emergency call, incoming calls and texts are redirected while driving. All incoming calls and text messages are accessible once the driver has stopped driving and the phone is no longer in Safe Driving Mode. The restrictions are customizable by a parent or administrator. For instance, settings are available to allow either hands-free or emergency calls to be made. When 911 emergency calls are made, a message is sent to the guardian notifying them of the event.Safety Text Blocker's hardware solution is much more reliable than smart-phone or app-only solutions that rely on GPS data or cell tower triangulation data.
